The device is rugged and reliable, built to withstand the hard knocks at the point of sale. Most importantly, the Verifone PP1000SE Pin Pad is fully compatible with the Pin Pad 1000/101 families.

Easily connecting with most existing POS terminals and/or electronic cash registers, the PP1000SE offers a fast, simple way to be able to accept the latest PIN0based payments. The PED-approved PP1000SE puts merchants on the card industry's leading edge by incorporating a broad array of sophisticated security features to guard against fraud or abuse

This includes full support of Triple DES encryption standards and a choice of Master/Session or DUPKT (Derived Unique Key Per Transaction) key management methods. The 1000SE also supports MAC (Message Authentication Code). This technique protects the debit transaction data from accidental or fraudulent tampering during the transfer to the host credit card processing company.
